Developments

Bancography released its 2011 Bancography Brand Value Index, which ranks the most powerful financial institution brands among all U.S. banks and credit unions.

Bancography updated its Bancography Plan software with June 2011 deposit statistics from the FDIC and NCUA.

During our October Bancography Briefings session: Market Segmentation and the 2010 US Census, we reviewed major findings from the 2010 census and discussed how the new census data can inform improved branching and marketing decisions. We also delivered a primer on market segmentation and introduced the new segment profile reports in the Bancography Plan software tool. Contact Laura Levie for more information.

Bancography updated Bancography Plan, its market analysis and branch planning software, with three major enhancements:

  1. A new market segmentation report that profiles current or proposed branch trade areas in terms of five demographic market segments
  2. Updated 2011 demographics, based on the new census 2010 block group designations
  3. A new component, branch profiles, that allows users to quickly obtain market demographic and competitive profiles for any current U.S. branch

Each year at Bancography, we strive to deliver insightful demographic and competitive information to assist you in your strategic planning efforts. Download “Strategic Planning for 2011: Demographic and Competitive Outlook,” a review of deposit growth and demographic trends for large and mid-sized U.S. markets. The document examines the latest FDIC, NCUA and demographic statistics and provides comparative data on deposit growth, income growth, branch concentration and other measures. We’ve also offered a number of tactical recommendations for marketing and branch planning in the year ahead.

For our March Bancography Briefings session we presented Branch Performance Benchmarks. In this session, we discussed how to quantify market opportunity and branch performance.
